Prepare your artwork
A few guidelines to help your design print as expected.
Start with your downloaded dielineAdd your artwork to the dieline downloaded for your selected box size and style, then upload the completed PDF.
- PDF artworkAdd your artwork to the dieline downloaded for your selected box size and style. Submit the completed artwork in PDF format. Other file types are not accepted for production.
- 300 DPIRaster images must be at least 300 DPI at their final printed size.
- CMYK printingWe print in CMYK. RGB and Pantone (PMS) colors are converted and may not match exactly. Printed colors can differ from your screen.
- Inside & outsideIf printing both sides, include the inside and outside artwork together in one PDF.
White areas in your artwork must be reversed out (left unprinted). These areas show the color of your selected board. On kraft board, they will appear kraft, not white.
Production timing Estimated production time is 10 business days for orders of 1,000 boxes or fewer and 15 business days for orders over 1,000 boxes. Production begins only after your order is accepted and your artwork receives final approval.
Follow these five steps to prepare artwork that matches your box.
- Choose your box and size
Set your box style and dimensions in the form before downloading your dieline.
- Download your dieline
Download the dieline PDF generated for that exact configuration. If you change the box size or style, download a new dieline.
- Add your artwork to the dieline
Open the downloaded dieline in your design software and add your design to it at 100% scale. Keep the template at its original size. Follow its cut, fold, bleed and safe-area guides when positioning artwork, text and logos.
- Export your finished artwork as a PDF
Use CMYK color and images of at least 300 DPI at their final printed size. For inside and outside printing, include both sides together in one PDF.
- Upload and check your artwork
Upload the completed dieline PDF with your artwork added. Recheck the box size, artwork placement and printed sides before continuing with your order.
Before uploading, review the Requirements & warnings tab, including the digital printing and white ink guidance.
Choose your material
Choose the board surface for the outside and inside of your box. Kraft shows the natural brown board; white gives artwork a lighter base. Areas left white in your file show the selected board because digital printing does not print white ink.
